Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore has been an Hollywood author and actress for many years. Her work is also highly praised by critics. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the oldest of children from Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper and Anne who is a psychology student. The Moore family is English, Scottish and of mixed heritage. Moore had a difficult time because her family was constantly relocated due to their dad's employment. Moore started acting in plays in the year she attended Frankfurt American High School when her family relocated to Germany. She graduated in 1983 with the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University. in Theater. Moore's career began in New York with Off-Broadway Theater after graduation. In 1985, she made her debut on stage as a character in The Edge of Night. It was in 1986 that she made her breakthrough when she portrayed the role as Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes on As the World Turns. She was on As the World Turns through 1988. In recognition of her performance she won the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she began her film debut with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which she later called an awful low-budget movie. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The latter production, for which Moore won numerous awards as well as critical acclaim. Moore was the first actress to get a major performance in Safe which was a film from 1995. Steven Spielberg gave Moore her first lead role in Safe (1995). The year 1997 was when her career as Moore reached a turning point. She was tapped to play the lead role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World. The film was one of the most popular films in 1997. The actress received an SAG Award nomination for Magnolia during 1999. The Hours starred Moore in 2002. It was also nominated by Nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore has also been seen in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) along with a host of other movies. She was also in Non-Stop (2014). Moore is a veteran of many television shows and movies. In the most recent, she appeared as the lead in When You Finish Saving The World (2022). Her career has been established in Hollywood in addition to being a bestselling author of children's books. In 2007, she published Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became the N.Y.T. The book was later adapted into an animated TV show and musical. In 2013, she published her book My Mom Is a Foreigner. Moore lives a flamboyant life as a well-known writer and actress. She was married John Robin in 1984 and they split in 1995. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children together. Moore's life revolves around her friends, career and family.
